Dr Oge Ilegbune

Dr Oge Ilegbune is a graduate of the University of Nigeria Medical School in Enugu, Nigeria. She completed her Residency in General Practice in the United Kingdom becoming a qualified General Practitioner and an associate member of the Royal College of General Practitioners, UK. She practiced as a General Practitioner for 8 years in Primary Care, where Prevention is an integral part of Healthcare management.

In September 2014, she returned to Nigeria and has continued her work in General practice focusing on Cancer screening, Non-communicable Disease screening and Preventive health strategies. She is focused on good delivery of health services including educating patients on a holistic approach to managing their health and offering patient-centered care with cost-effective methods that do not detract from the quality of care.

Dr Ilegbune is currently the Head of Strategy, Development and Outreach at the Lakeshore Cancer Center where she employs her keen interest in Cancer screening and prevention. In this role, she has created many strategies to increase cancer screening awareness amongst individuals and corporate establishments. She is also the Director of Clinical Services and Principal Clinician for Dennis Ashley Clinic, a Primary care clinic keenly focused on management of Non-communicable diseases in Nigeria.

She has a Certificate in Healthcare Management from the Enterprise Development Centre of the Pan-Atlantic University affiliated to the  Lagos Business School as Management and Strategy has increasingly become a part of her practice.
