Dr Cheluchi Onyemelukwe is Managing Partner at Health Ethics and Law Consulting (www.healthlaw.com.ng) which provides cutting edge advisory on a wide range of legal, regulatory and policy issues in the life sciences, health, sectors.  She is also Associate Professor of Health Law at Babcock University School of Law.

She provides legal and regulatory advisory in the private sector, advising hospitals, laboratories and other health care companies on risk management. Her capacity building work includes training for health professionals, legislators and judges. It represents patients, health professionals and health facilities in medical negligence and related cases. She consults for several international development organisations including WHO, the World Bank etc.

She holds a doctorate degree in law from Dalhousie University, Canada and a First Class degree in law from the University of Nigeria. She is a member of Nigeria's National Health Research Ethics Committee. She is the author of Health Research Governance in Africa: Law, Ethics and Regulation (Routledge,  2018).
