Medic West Africa 2018 was a huge success. This year the conference focused on leadership in healthcare and the conference hosted 250+ exhibiting companies displaying the latest healthcare products and services from across 25+ countries. Visitors had the opportunity to network with more than 3,900 of their healthcare industry peers.
Held alongside the exhibition were healthcare, leadership, business and educational conferences that brought together acclaimed speakers to discuss, showcase and share their experiences and insights into the latest methods, developments and technologies in the healthcare industry.
The Healthcare Leadership Academy participated by delivering a full day workshop themed ‘Leadership in Healthcare: How do we get there?’

The keynote speaker Dr Orode Doherty, Country Director, Africare Nigeria delivered a spurring talk titled ‘Leadership is Everyone’s Business’.
One key thing she shared worth remembering is that leading and pioneering change within a complex healthcare system requires constant learning, unlearning and relearning.
The attendees resonated with a lot of the topics discussed and actively participated in driving these discussions through questions and shared experiences.
There was a great turnout of people across the different roles within the healthcare industry such as doctors, pharmacists, lawyers, frontline clinicians, laboratory attendants and digital media experts.
Medic West Africa Conference is free-to-attend for all professionals from across the healthcare spectrum.
Next year's edition will take place from 9-11 October 2019.
